In a video circulating online, the woman recounted how she was invited on stage to dance with the singer, saying she enjoyed the experience and was preparing to leave when a member of his management team approached her.
According to her, the manager told her that she would be compensated for taking part in the performance, even though she had not asked for or expected any payment.
She said the manager exchanged contact details with her, after which she sent a message introducing herself. However, she alleged that she received no further response.
The woman further claimed that a few days later, another person who identified himself as a member of Reekado Banks’ team contacted her to ask whether she had received the promised compensation.
She said she subsequently contacted the first manager to verify the identity of the person who reached out to her.
According to her, the manager asked her to send a screenshot of their conversation, which she did, but allegedly stopped responding afterwards.
She added that her subsequent follow-up messages also went unanswered.
Expressing her disappointment, the woman said her concern was not primarily about the money but about the failure to honour a promise that had been made to her.
“It’s not even about the money. If they had not offered compensation, I wouldn’t have expected anything. But once a promise is made, it should be honoured and properly communicated,” she said.
As of the time of filing this report, Reekado Banks and his management team had not publicly responded to the allegation.
